Era il 1973 quando da una costola della Nautor nasceva in Finlandia la Baltic Yachts LTD.

L'idea originaria di creare una tipologia di yachts a vela che si distinguesse per le avanzate tecnologie, per lo studio dei materiali di costruzione, per la cura dei particolari, si è fin da subito mostrata vincente e, dopo 27 anni, la Baltic Yachts segna ancora il passo nel mondo della nautica a vela.

Materiali compositi, soluzioni tecniche innovative, grandi progettisti come Sparkman & Stephens, C&C, Doug Petersons, Judel/Vrolijk, Bruce Farr, la costruzione anche Custom, cioè a misura di armatore, hanno firmato il successo delle imbarcazioni Baltic tra gli estimatori dello yachting a vela di tutto il mondo.
Il 1999 è stato un anno molto importante per il cantiere di Bosund con il grande successo ottenuto con gli ultimi vari del Baltic 97 e del Baltic 73, mentre attesissimi e prossimi alla consegna i nuovi Baltic 50 e Baltic 47.

Ma la corsa verso il nuovo Millennio non poteva che coronarsi con una nuova sfida del cantiere finlandese: SUPER BALTIC 78, che varrà varato a fine aprile.
24 m. di lunghezza, nasce in collaborazione con gli studi Reichel- Pugh e Vismara Design e si presenta come uno dei modelli Custom Baltic più performanti e sofisticati e che sicuramente farà parlare a lungo di sé nel mondo dello yachting e della progettazione navale.

Ancora top secret nelle sue specifiche di costruzione l'ultima idea progettuale della Baltic: il BALTIC 140 FT, custom e interamente in carbonio.

La Baltic Yachts è quindi cantiere leader nel mondo degli yachts a vela, punto di arrivo per gli armatori e velisti più' esigenti al mondo, appartenenti al gotha della politica (on. Massimo D'Alema), dell'alta imprenditoria (Asso Plattner/SAP A.G, Dr. Massimo Violati/Ferrarelle, Tatsuo Fujimotho/Fuji), della comunicazione (Jim Clark/Netscape).

Baltic Yachts Ltd. Was found 1973 by five people which eloped from Nautor in order to start their own yacht building company.

They whished to create top quality, comfortable, cruising yachts with racing potetianls and with a lighter displacement than the competitor, using more modern high-tech materials and methods. This construction philosophy reaveled itself to be winner and after 27 years Baltic Yachts Ltd is one of the most popular and considered boatyard in the world.

1999 was a significant year for Baltic Yachts with the great success of the last launchings of Baltic 97 and Baltic 73. Expectation and big interest in the new deliveries: Baltic 50 and Baltic 47.

But the very New Millenium challenge is represented by the SUPERBALTIC 78, ready to be launched end of April 2000:
24 Mt LOA, comes from the co-operation between Reichel-Pugh and Vismara designers, and she looks as one of the most high-performance and technologic Baltic Custom made yachts.
She is expected to become very popular in the yachting and yacht design world.

Marine Services: Cantiere navale in Viareggio dal 1985, specializzato in costruzione in materiali compositi avanzati, cura dell'osmosi, rigging, ristrutturazione e modifiche di imbarcazioni a vela, è l'unico centro autorizzato nel Mediterraneo alla manutenzione e alla messa a punto delle imbarcazioni della Baltic Yachts.

In questa veste cura e segue gli armatori Baltic, affiancando l'esperienza pratica del cantiere a quella teorica dello studio progettuale Vismara Design collegato alla Marine Services da uno stretto e preferenziale rapporto di collaborazione.

Esclusivista per l'importazione Baltic in Italia è la Baltic Yachts Italia. Il rapporto sinergico con il cantiere Marine Services e lo studio Vismara design, consente di assistere il cliente in tutte le fasi sia preliminari - anche in termini progettuali - che successive all'acquisto: manutezione ordinaria e straordinaria, perizie tecniche, consulenze, compravendita dell'usato garantito Baltic Yachts.

Baltic Yachts Italia - Marine Services - Vismara Design: cooperation
Marine Services: Shipyard in Viareggio since 1985, specialized in advanced composite materials, osmosis tratements, rigging, refittings and yachts modifications.

Marine Services is the unique authorized center in Mediterranean for Baltic Yachts maintenance. The Marine Service staff is used to assist the customs, combining the practical experience of the shipyard with the theorical one of the Vismara Yacht Design & Consulting study, whose relationship is particulary close.

Baltic Yachts Italia is the italian agent for Baltic Yachts LTD, Thanks to intensive and effective co-operation with Marine Service and Vismara design, the Baltic Yachts Italia staff may consult the custom during all the stages before and after the purchase of a Baltic Yachts: negotiation with the mother house and suppliers, project advices, expertises, consulting for Baltic Yachts brokerage.

Gli uomini Marine Services/Baltic Yachts Italia:
Presidente: Massimo Vassalle. Con la Baltic dal 1978, vanta una grande esperienza nel campo della vela d'altura da regata. E' stato uno dei primi in Italia ad occuparsi della messa a punto e installazione di sistemi velici automatizzati per imbarcazioni di grosse dimensioni.
Esperto di piani di coperta e di attrezzature veliche, ha collaborato a lungo con la Perini Navi.
Amministratore delegato: Arch. Alessandro Vismara. Laureato in architettura navale all’Università di Southampton, ha al suo attivo progetti di imbarcazioni da regata come il Maxi-Yacht Morgana, dell’IMS Pistrice, di Lucifera Open 40 e di Koala –Hi-tech 43 Open di recente varo, quest’ultime completamente realizzate dalla Marine Service in materiali compositi avanzati.
Importante il contributo progettuale con la Baltic: Baltic 60 (le linee d’acqua sono di Bruce Farr), Super Baltic 78, Baltic 50 e Baltic 47.
Vince il titolo di Progettista dell’Anno per la stagione 1999 – premio istituito dal Giornale della Vela e Rothmans.

Person in charge
President: Mr Massimo Vassalle. Together with Baltic Yachts since 1978, he has a great experience in offshore saling races. Mr Vassalle had been one of the first involved in the installatation of automatic system for maxi sailing yachts in Italy. Expert in deck rigging, he had been co-operating with Perini Navi for a long time.
General Manager: arch. Alessandro Vismara. Graduated in naval architecture at Southampton University, he designed racing sailing yachts such as the Maxi Yacht "Morgana", the IMS "Pistrice", the Open 40 "Lucifera", the Hi-tech Open 43 "Koala" launched febbruary 1999, these two last ones both built by Marine Services in composite materials.
Arch. Vismara took part in many Baltic Custom yachts projects: Baltic 60, Superbaltic 78, Baltic 50 and Baltic 47.
He has just won the prize as Designer of the year 1999 - prize given by Giornale della Vela and Rothmans.
